i would be one of the latter. some of the people i know have been here for a while. it's possible that you've met them, though we come from vastly different situations.

and i suppose it's not surprising that people would find a means to do that. it's simply new.

what could i find that would be worse than a post-apocalyptic wasteland? though it may not be what you picture. it's very green and full of life, so that might offer it more balance.

no.

we call them reapers because of how quickly they bring death. but they are not dead. they're simply changed by a drug. they eat flesh because they've lost a part of themselves in the process, and they're too caught up in that to stop themselves from doing a thing they would not normally do.

you could say that they're the result of experimentation. that wouldn't be wrong.

i must admit, i don't know if the thought of the dead returning and eating brain is more or less unsettling, considering the purpose of the reapers.

the difference (and i am only guessing here) is that there is a cure for ours. you can remove the dependency on the drug in time.
